Marks for carcasses help in fighting with ASF

Marking of boar carcasses is now possible with marks in several colors

Looking at the current situation, we can see that like the COVID-19 virus among people, also the ASF virus (African swine fever) among pig animals is ruthless. The Bott company, as a manufacturer of veterinary marks and marks for carcasses, in response to the customers’ needs has increased its offer by adding marks for carcasses in several colors. According to the Polish Regulation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development from 15^th of September, 2010 (Journal of Laws No. 179, item 1211 from 2012), carcasses should be marked with orange marks. However, listening the suggestions of our customers, we have also produced marks for carcasses in green, yellow and red color. Marks for carcasses in the colors other than the orange are used for internal markings by the State Veterinary Inspection, purchase points or hunting clubs. With yellow veterinary marks can be marked the carcasses from yellow ASF zone and with red marks from the red zone. The bigger number of colors of the marks for carcasses gives more possibilities and allows to fight the virus more effectively.
